Retirement Reason
Displays a note for your audit trail about why the license (and more precisely, its linked software) was retired.
Click the drop-down list and choose one of the values:
-
Broken —The software related to this license ceased to function.
-
Disposed —The software was junked.
-
Donated —The software was given away at nil residual value.
-
Lost —The software can no longer be found in any inventory records, and therefore the license is no longer required.
-
Sold —The software (and its related license) were disposed of by sale to a third party.
-
Stolen —Presumably the software disappeared when the hardware on which it was installed was stolen.
When software has been on-sold, you can record the resale price, and identify the recipient, on the Financial tab.
This field displays when the Status drop-down list is set to Retired.
