Copying or Modifying a Target

You can modify an existing target. You can also copy an existing target to create a new target.

To copy or modify a target:

  1. Go to the Discovery and Inventory Rules page (Data Collection > IT Assets Inventory Tasks > Discovery and Inventory Rules). The Discovery and Inventory Rules page appears.
  2. Click the Targets tab.
  3. Do either of the following:

    • Editing a target —To modify a target, click its edit icon, change the target's properties, and click Save.

    • Copying a target —To copy a target with a new name, click its copy icon, and click Create.

  4. When you have finished editing the properties, click Close to return to the list of targets.
